For the BBC Preeya has starred as Carmen in Bollywood Carmen, Sonja in Casualty, series regular Amira in Eastenders (2009-12), six episodes as Carrie in Mistresses, series regular Dr Maya Dutta in Bodies, Aisha in Hotel Babylon, Afshan in Banglatown Banquet, Anita in Broken News, Sherilyn in Casualty, Satia in Doctors, Assma in England Expects and Miranda in My Family. Other TV includes: Leanne in Mr Eleven (Tiger Aspect), Shaz in Britz (Mentorn/Ch 4), Mumtaz in Bedtime Christmas Special (Hat Trick) and Samir in Decreed (HTV West).

Theatre includes: Pinky Bhamra in Bend It Like Beckham (Phoenix Theatre) Reema in Khandan (Royal Court & Birmingham Rep), Loraina in Oxford Street (Royal Court), the Narrator in the revival of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Adelphi Theatre), Priya in the world premiere of Bombay Dreams (Apollo Victoria) and Fair Maid of the West (The Pleasance).
